UA RUSSIAN ABROAD COURSE
SELECTION LANGUAGE PROGRAM

Course selection is made through consultation with the program director who will interview each student after arrival in Russia. Summer Session students receive 6 units per program. Semester program participants receive 15 units of UA semester credit.

BUSINESS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Courses offered during summer programs and Semester program. Course selection is made through consultation with the program director who will interview each student after arrival in Russia. Summer participants receive 12 semester credits from the UA. Semester participants receive 15 credits per session. "A" courses are offered first summer session and every semester. "B" are offered second summer session and every semester.


LOWER DIVISION
(Prerequisite: 1 year of Russian or equivalent)

Russian 288 a,b Business Russian I
3 credits each.

Russian 293 a,b Business internship in Russia
3 credits each.
Granted for successful completion of internship assignment.

Russian 299 Independent Study
1-4 credits.
Prerequisite: Permission of academic director.


UPPER DIVISION
(Prerequisite: two years of college Russian or equivalent)

Russian 399 Independent Study
1-4 credits.
Prerequisite: Permission of academic director.

Russian 488 a,b Business Russian II
3 credits each.

Russian 493 a,b Business Internship in Russia
3 credits each.

Russian 499 Independent Study
1-5 credits.
Prerequisites: Permission of academic director.


GRADUATE LEVEL
Prerequisite: student must provide proof of graduate status.

Russian 599 Independent Study
1-5 credits.
Prerequisite: permission of academic director.

Russian 692 a,b Business Russian III
3 credits each (45 academic hours per course).
Advanced reading, writing, discussion, contract reading and writing, composition of advertising, etc.

Russian 693 a,b Business Internship in Russia
3 credits each.
Awarded for successful completion of internship assignment.

Russian 699 Independent Study
1-5 credits.
Prerequisite: permission of academic director.

Grades are assigned by the program director based upon the recommendation of local faculty.
Grades available for Russian 288, 488 and 688 are A, B, C, D, E.
Grades available for 293, 493, 693, plus all Independent Study courses are S (superior), P (pass) and F (fail).
